Spotlight On:
2010 US Curling National Championships
Kalamazoo has been selected to host the US Curling National Championships. This is a partnership between Wings Stadium, the Kalamazoo Curling Club, and Discover Kalamazoo. They are looking for volunteers for a variety of things from arena set up to assisting ice makers and welcoming spectators. This will occur 10 days after the Olympics. Set to participate are the 2010 Men's Olympic team, and the 2006 Olympic bronze medal team.
Date: March 6-13, 7 a.m. until midnight
Volunteer Opportunities:
--Arena set-up (March 3-4)
--Volunteer photographers (game pictures)
--Credential office
--Supervise Wii Curling
--Security
--Greeters (for spectators)
Training: A few minutes, prior to shift
